Bishop Johnathan preached at the wonderful Society Mass for the unity of the church. Bishop Mark gave a very encouraging address about The Society followed by a renewal of commitment to the Gospel.
It was an encouraging day with a vision of how we as catholic anglicans can find a place in the Church of England.
For Bishop Mark and Bishop Jonathan's address please go to the Society Launch page.

From The Right Revd R David Farrer
As a former Diocesan Bishop in Australia where I fought to achieve the sorts of ends to which The Society is committed, it has always been my view that it is possible for adult Christians with strongly differing views to live together in mutual respect. There are those who deny this possibility and firmly
hold the position that their view must prevail. My reading of the New Testament leaves me with the understanding that living and working together in mutual respect and affection despite our differences better suits the life and teaching of Jesus than a winner takes all approach (Luke 9:54 ).
I therefore commend the establishment of The Society and look forward to its contribution to
the life of our Diocese.

Welcome to the Chichester S.S.W.S.H
Welcome to the Society of Saint Wilfrid and Saint Hilda in the Diocese of Chichester.
We are a group of Priests, Deacons and Lay people who seek to proclaim the Catholic Faith as the Church of England has traditionally received it under the patronage of St Wilfrid and St Hilda.
St Wilfrid is, with St Richard, the patron Saint of our Diocese. St Hilda and St Wilfrid strove to bring about the unity and mission of the Church in their day.
We are a missionary society and we hope to promote our aims through events, services, prayer and mutual support.
Bishop Mark wishes to encourage those who share the aims and objectives of the Society to join and so give encouragement to each other and register our strength and commitment.
Please do sign up and encourage others to sign up as well. Details can be found on the link.
Please keep and eye on this web site over the coming weeks and on the main web site at WWW.SSWSH.COM
For events:- Please see the Mission Page, people from all churches in the Diocese are welcome to come to any of the events organised.
